Squash has been played for over 140 years, growing sensationally in the last forty and is now poised to become one of the largest and best loved of all sport. It is played in some 185 countries, on nearly 50,000 courts and is considered by Forbes Magazine as the world’s healthiest sport.
The Royal Glenora Club is the home of one of the best squash facilities in all of Canada. With 7 glass backed international singles courts and one glass backed hard ball doubles court. The facility has hosted a number of local, national and international events over the years – providing great exposure to sponsors and squash fans alike.
Squash enthusiasts are predominantly professionals with a University degree. Forty percent are between the ages of 36 and 45; twenty-five per cent are between 26 and 35 years of age.
Head squash professional Pete Goodings is an Ex-England Over-35 International. He is a ESR Level 3 professional coach who has been coach and mentor to several world ranked players. He was ranked No. 2 in England for Over-45 Racketball 2014 (UK version). His credentials include being an applied sports psychology specialist (for all sports) and is an ex-Royal Air Force physical training instructor (Staff Instructor).
